Stems erect, 70-90 cm tall, 5-8 mm in diam., leafy on upper part, tightly enclosed by tubular sheaths below.
Leaves 5-7, oblong or lanceolate, 10-30 cm long, 5-7 cm wide, apex acute, base cuneate and decurrent, 3-5-nerved.
Peduncle arising from lower part of stem, suberect, to 30 cm long, with few scales below, rachis 20-30 cm long; bracts membranaceous, linear, 2.5-4 cm long, caducous; pedicel and ovary 12-16 mm long, short pubescent. Flowers ca. 20, ascending or horizontal, yellowish green, more or less fragrant; sepals spreading or reflexed, oblong, 1.2-1.5 cm long, 4-5 mm wide, acute; petals similar to sepals but slightly narrower; lip yellowish, 1-1.2 cm long, spurless, 3-lobed, lateral lobes falcate, erect or curved upwardly, midlobe short clawed, orbicular or flabellate, apex emarginate, margin strongly undulate; column 4 mm long, dilated base connecting lip;.anther ovate, 1.5 mm long, 2-celled; pollinia clavate, 1 mm long, connected by caudicle to globose viscid material; stigma crescent shaped.

台灣 : common in forests at 500-1,500 m throughout the island.
世界 : Japan, the Ryukyus, southern China, India, Sikkim, Indochina, the Philippines and southward to Malaysia.
